Accessibility

1. Our Commitment

We aim to ensure that all people can use our online shop without restrictions, regardless of individual abilities or assistive technologies. Accessibility is not an add-on for us, but an integral part of quality, usability, and technical diligence.

This website is continuously being developed to meet legal accessibility requirements and to improve usability for all visitors. You can access this statement via the “Accessibility” link from the homepage and other pages of our online shop. We publish this statement as an HTML page and therefore in a fundamentally machine-readable format.

2. Compliance Status

This online shop is aligned with the requirements of:

  • the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)
  • EN 301 549
  • the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA

The website is currently partially compliant with these requirements. We already meet essential criteria, particularly regarding page structure, navigation, textual presentation of key content, and parts of the form handling. However, some areas still present barriers.

3. Measures to Ensure Accessibility

We have assessed the accessibility of this website through a self-evaluation on the date of the latest review of this statement. Representative pages, forms, and key user journeys were evaluated in accordance with EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA.

To ensure accessibility, the following measures have been implemented:

  • Clear content structuring using semantic HTML
  • Keyboard accessibility for key functions (navigation, shopping cart, checkout)
  • Alternative text for relevant images
  • Sufficient color contrast
  • Responsive design for different devices
  • Clear and understandable forms with proper labeling

Accessibility is regularly reviewed and continuously improved from a technical perspective.

4. Remaining Barriers

Despite our efforts, the following issues may still cause limitations:

  • Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible
  • Third-party content (e.g. payment providers or embedded tools) is outside our direct control
  • Older content may occasionally contain structural issues

We are working to address these issues step by step.

If immediate accessible use is not possible, we will provide the relevant information in an accessible textual format upon request.

5. Feedback and Contact

If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website or experience difficulties using it, please contact us. We take all feedback seriously and strive to provide timely solutions.
